Ford Unveils New
Ford rolls out the newly redesigned 2020 RWD-based Explorer with the latest technology features، including a driver assistance system that prevents collisions and its ability to perpendicularly park on its own، as the Technical Times said.

The all-new Explorer model was unveiled on Wednesday evening at Ford Field in Detroit in preparation for the North American International Auto Show next week.

Ford 2020 Explorer Special Safety Features
Ford 2020 Explorer has been redesigned with special safety features such as Ford Co-Pilot360 where it can detect pedestrians، brakes in emergencies، and keeps the car in the correct lane. It allows cruise control where it can read road signs and adjust speed accordingly. It also has a Wi-Fi connection that allows to connect up to 10 devices.

Ford has also increased its towing capacity by 66 percent. The 2020 Explorer also sheds about 200 pounds with expanded use of high-strength steel and alloy while making more fuel efficient with its 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo four-base engine.

Fastest Explorer
Those who want more engine power can have the 3.0-liter EcoBoost twin-turbo V-6 of the Platinum edition، boasting its 365 horsepower and 385 pound-feet of torque.

The 3.0-liter Ecoboost version is Ford's fastest Explorer that it has ever made، according to Michael O'Brien، product manager for large SUVs at Ford.

All Explorer models are now equipped with 10-speed automatic transmission، making the six-speed models obsolete. The space-hogging shift lever is now replaced with a rotary transmission knob that includes a media bin of a 12-volt outlet، a USB، and the latest USB-C ports.

Entertainment System
The entertainment system is its Sync 3، with Apple CarPlay، Waze، Android Auto، and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot with a monthly subscription that can connect up to 10 devices. Its speaker is a 980-watt، 14-speaker B&O audio system.

Ford Explorer is on the top position in the midsize SUV market، and it is even making an impression. Last year، the car company sold more than 261،000 Explorers.

"The Explorer is really in the sweet spot of the market،" says Jeff Schuster، an analyst at automotive consulting firm LMC Automotive. "Last year، midsize SUVs made up almost 14 percent of the market and we think the segment will keep growing."
