Egypt’s FM meets US Senate intelligence member over latest developments

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held a meeting on Saturday with US Democratic Senator Ron Wyden، a member of the Senate intelligence committee، official spokesman for the foreign ministry Ahmed Hafez said.

Hafez added that the meeting tackled the mutual relations between Egypt and the US، especially with regard to the most recent visit of President Al-Sisi to Washington.

Shoukry confirmed that the meetings held by the President in Washington reflected Egypt's interest in strengthening relations with the US، Stressing the importance of the US support provided to Egypt.

He added that Egypt is a key partner with the United States in supporting peace and stability in the Middle East.

The Foreign Ministry Spokesman added that Shoukry reviewed the recent economic and political developments in Egypt as well as the challenges related to counter-terrorism efforts in Egypt and the Arab region.

Noteworthy that Shoukry، was seen on Saturday at Saiza Nabarawi School in The 5th Settlement، to vote on the constitutional amendments.
