President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received Sunday Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE)، Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the presence of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry، according to a statement issued by presidential spokesperson Bassam Rady.
Rady added that the president، during the meeting، confirmed that Egypt is following with great interest the recent developments in the Gulf region، especially the recent incidents that threaten the navigation and aim at destabilizing the waterways in the Gulf countries.
The President also affirmed Egypt's solidarity with the government and the people of the UAE and all other brotherly Arab countries in facing various challenges and attempts that aim to destabilize the Gulf region.
Al-Sisi also affirmed Egypt's support for the UAE’s security and stability in this delicate stage of increasing challenges.
For his part، Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his country’s appreciation for the role played by Egypt and its efforts to achieve stability in the region.
He pointed out that the current stage requires the strengthening of Arab cooperation in order to maintain security and stability of all Arab countries and to address the current common challenges.
