Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on Tuesday received his Ghanaian counterpart Nana Akufo-Addo at Al-Ittihadiya Presidential Palace، official spokesman for the presidency Bassam Rady said.
Rady added that that President Al-Sisi pointed out to the depth of the historical relations between the two countries، praising the overall relations between Egypt and Ghana at the political، economic، security and cultural levels.
The President also stressed the importance of further enhancing trade exchange and mutual investments between the two countries، praising the growing cooperation between Egypt and Ghana in the field of capacity building through various programs organized by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development.
The President also expressed Egypt's interest in maintaining the periodicity of political consultation and coordination on ways to establish security and stability in the African continent.
Rady added that the Ghanaian president congratulated Egypt on great succeeding in hosting the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2019) in accordance with the highest international standards.
The spokesman added that the Ghanaian president stressed his country's appreciation for the distinguished historical relations between the two brotherly countries، praising Egypt's pivotal role in the African arena، especially its current efforts as president of the African Union.
Nana Akufo also expressed his country's keenness to develop bilateral relations with Egypt in various fields، especially trade and economic cooperation، to match the depth of political relations between the two countries.
