The summit is set to witness discussions on the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, including ongoing efforts to stop the bloodshed of Palestinians and save the residents from the humanitarian tragedy gripping the strip, according to Fahmy.

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi headed to Bahrain on Wednesday to take part in the 33rd Arab Summit.

During the summit, Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy emphasized that President El-Sisi’s attendance showcases Egypt’s dedication to working closely with Arab nations. The aim is to align positions and foster unity in the face of the pressing challenges confronting the region on multiple fronts.

A number of prominent Arab leaders are set to take part in the upcoming summit.

He added that the humanitarian situation in Gaza has been exacerbated by the ongoing Israeli military operation in Palestinian Rafah, which necessitates a clear rejection by the international community.

The summit will also address the situations in several Arab countries and means to restore stability in the region amid major crises facing it in the context of fast-changing variables at the international and regional levels.

The president is expected to hold several side meetings with Arab leaders to discuss enhancing cooperation and joint coordination mechanisms.
