X went down across the iPhone and web for a brief stretch Tuesday before coming back online. MacRumors reported the social platform formerly known as Twitter had stopped working in the past few minutes, while Downdetector showed more than 12,000 user reports by 11:01 a.m. PT.

The report said X was unavailable on two major access points at once: the iPhone app and the web. MacRumors said it was unclear how long the outage would last, and X was back online after a very short outage.
Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources, said Tuesday’s problems were building quickly. Most users reporting issues said the feed or timeline was affected, making the interruption visible as soon as they opened the app or site.
Tuesday Morning Reports
The outage followed a possible disruption earlier Tuesday, according to Downdetector. That gave the episode a narrow window: reports rose fast, then the service returned before the problem could stretch into a longer interruption.
For users who were trying to check posts or refresh the feed, the practical change is simple. X is back online now on both iPhone and the web, after the brief interruption that prompted thousands of reports.
