Egyptian Foreign Minister to Attend World Economic Forum in Riyadh

Shoukry will attend a roundtable on trade and supply chain disruptions in the Middle East, as well as a meeting on enhancing global security and growth.

The event will address global challenges in the presence of over 700 participants from different countries.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry will be jetting off to Riyadh this Saturday to join the World Economic Forum (WEF) and engage in additional discussions related to the current situation in the Gaza Strip.

According to the foreign ministry, he is set to take part in a important session discussing the situation in the Middle East.

Exciting news for Riyadh as it prepares to host the WEF’s upcoming special meeting on global collaboration, growth, and energy for development. The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday and Monday, promising to bring together leaders and experts to tackle important global issues.

On the sideline of the forum, Shoukry will also hold side ministerial meetings over the latest development in Gaza – where Israel has killed at least 34,305 Palestinians and injured 77,293 others, most of whom are children and women, during its six-month war on the strip.

This includes a meeting of Arab ministers and a meeting of the group with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
