Direct Request from Biden... Washington Sends Long-Range Missiles to Ukraine
Biden

Today (Wednesday), US President Joe Biden signed the law for military aid to Ukraine, announcing that the first batch of military equipment will depart to Kyiv "within hours."

Speaking from the White House shortly after Congress approved a massive aid package for Ukraine, as well as for Israel and Taiwan, Biden said the texts that were voted on "will make America and the world safer."

Later, US State Department spokesperson Ned Price announced that Washington had sent long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine "this month," even before the US Congress approved a new aid package for Kyiv yesterday.

He said that this shipment was sent "at the direct request of President Biden in February," adding that the missiles, which were part of the latest aid package sent to Kyiv on March 12, "arrived in Ukraine this month."

After signing a massive military aid package for Israel and Ukraine, Biden confirmed that it also includes $1 billion earmarked for humanitarian aid to Gaza. "We will immediately secure this aid and increase its volume... including food, medical supplies, and clean water."

President Biden called on Israel to allow immediate access for humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza. He concluded, "Israel must ensure that all this aid reaches the Palestinians in Gaza without delay."
