Furthermore, the House called on the international community to take actions to prevent further crimes against the Palestinian people, and to urge Israel to adopt a peaceful approach with the aim of reaching a peaceful and just solution to the Palestinian cause.

In a statement on Tuesday, Hanafy El-Gebaly, the speaker of the House of Representatives, expressed the House’s unwavering support for President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi’s resolute actions to uphold the rightful rights of the Palestinian people and his ongoing endeavors to achieve a ceasefire.

In a recent session, El-Gebaly commended Egypt for its unwavering dedication to achieving peace and safeguarding the lives of the Palestinian people amidst the Gaza crisis. Despite facing numerous challenges, Egypt’s efforts have been consistently relentless in ensuring the well-being of all involved.

The House of Representatives made it clear that all parties involved, with a particular focus on the Israeli government, will be held accountable for any actions that could potentially escalate tensions and hinder the progress of negotiations aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution.

On Tuesday, Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation of the Israeli military operations in the Palestinian city of Rafah, and its seizure of the Palestinian side of the Rafah Border Crossing.

The ministry’s statement came following the Israeli announcement that its army had taken “operational control” of the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt.

Egypt, Qatar, and the US have been actively mediating between Israel and Hamas to halt the war, secure captives’ release, and facilitate the entry of more aid into the besieged strip.

The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has killed at least 34,789 people in Gaza, mostly women and children, and wounded 78,204 others.
