Foreign Minister Shoukry to Represent President Sisi at 15th Islamic Summit in Banjul

 

The summit will be held on Saturday and Sunday under the theme of “Enhancing Unity and Solidarity Through Dialogue for Sustainable Development.”

The summit will also discuss the importance of rejecting hate speech and Islamophobia and promoting the spirit of dialogue and tolerance between civilizations, cultures, and peoples, the ministry added.

On Friday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry embarked on a trip to the Gambian capital of Banjul to represent President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi at the 15th Islamic Summit Conference.

The foreign ministry has announced that the summit will focus on addressing key political issues facing Islamic countries.

The focus of the discussion will be on addressing economic challenges in order to speed up the progress towards achieving sustainable development goals, eradicating poverty, and addressing climate change.
