The meeting comes within the framework of Egypt’s commitment to supporting all pathways towards comprehensive settlement in Libya, based on legitimate Libyan institutions, according to informed sources.

According to a report from Al-Qahera News, Abbas Kamel, the Head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service, is scheduled to meet with Libyan Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh in Cairo on Friday. They will be discussing recent developments in Libya and working towards finding a resolution to the ongoing Libyan crisis.

Egypt has continuously emphasized the importance of conducting national Libyan elections and the prompt removal of all foreign forces, mercenaries, and fighters from Libya in accordance with relevant international resolutions.
