Cairo to host further talks on Gaza ceasefire: Al-Qahera News

Netanyahu said he had instructed the Israeli delegation to “stand firm on the conditions necessary for the release” of Israeli captives held in Gaza, and on “essential requirements for guaranteeing Israel’s security.”

According to a reliable source speaking to Al-Qahera News on Tuesday, delegations from Qatar, the United States, and Hamas have gathered in Cairo for further discussions aimed at achieving a comprehensive agreement in the Gaza Strip.

An insider highlighted that Egypt is diligently working towards achieving a comprehensive ceasefire agreement in order to prevent a further deterioration of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza during the current Israeli attack on Rafah.

Israeli negotiators have touched down in Cairo for discussions, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed.

The Israeli delegation does not include Israel’s top negotiators, but it is instead of a lower-level delegation according to the Israeli news websites.

Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Political Bureau of Hamas informed in phone calls on Monday to the Head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service Abbas Kamel and Qatar Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani that the movement had accepted the countries’ proposal for a ceasefire in the Gaza war.

Israel described the recent proposal as “far from meeting Israel’s requirements” and said it would send negotiators to Cairo for talks to examine the possibility of a deal.
