Khasawneh, for his part, announced that Egypt and Jordan have agreed to hold a joint forum for Egyptian and Jordanian businessmen next month to maximise trade exchange and advance cooperation between the private sector in both countries.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Jordan’s Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Bisher Khasawneh, took the lead in overseeing the 32nd session of the Egyptian-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee held in the New Administrative Capital.

In an official announcement by the Egyptian cabinet, it was revealed that representatives from both Egypt’s Supreme Council for Media Regulations and Jordan’s Media Authority came together to sign a collaboration protocol aimed at enhancing media cooperation between the two countries.

In a recent press conference, Madbouly emphasized the importance of boosting mutual investments between the private sectors of both countries as the top priority for the upcoming stage.

Speaking on the Gaza crisis, Egypt’s PM noted that Cairo and Amman are exerting efforts towards reaching a ceasefire and achieving a truce, paving the way for negotiations to halt the war.

Similarly, Khasawneh stressed the need to end the Israeli occupation and pursue the political path that both President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and King Abdullah bin Hussein have advocated for more than ten years during their meetings.

Earlier Thursday, El-Sisi and Jordan’s PM met in Cairo, where they expressed their unequivocal rejection of the Israeli army’s attacks on the Palestinian city of Rafah, warning of catastrophic humanitarian repercussions.
