Sisi and Dutch Prime Minister Stress the Significance of Implementing the Two-State Solution

He further pointed out that such an operation would have catastrophic repercussions on the humanitarian situation in the besieged Strip and regional peace and security.

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte emphasized the importance of addressing the Palestinian conflict by advocating for the implementation of a two-state solution. Both leaders believe that this approach will play a vital role in promoting regional stability and security.

In a recent phone conversation, both leaders delved into the latest regional updates, with a focus on the developments in the Gaza Strip. They also highlighted the Egyptian initiatives aimed at promoting regional stability through ceasefire agreements and facilitating the secure transportation of essential humanitarian aid.

During their conversation, El-Sisi emphasized to Rutte the critical importance of halting the current conflict in Gaza and cautioned against any military interventions in the Palestinian city of Rafah.

In addition, El-Sisi stressed that enforcing relevant UN resolutions is a responsibility that the international community must assume.

Similarly, the two sides agreed on the crucial importance of reaching a ceasefire and ensuring unimpeded access to humanitarian aid throughout Gaza to avoid any further deterioration in the humanitarian situation there.

According to the Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson Ahmed Fahmy, El-Sisi and Rutte have also discussed enhancing economic and political relations between the two countries.

Israel, whose brutal war on the Gaza Strip has continued for over six months, faces growing international pressure to agree to a ceasefire in Gaza.

The Israeli army has killed, to date, more than 34,000 and wounded over 76,000 since 7 October, most of whom are women and children.

Since the outbreak of the war, Egypt has been pushing for a ceasefire and sustained access to humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of the civilians in Gaza.
